A St. Louis County Park that was an old military fort from the early days of St. Louis' existence till 1946. It has scenic overlook views of the Mississippi River, a museum of the various military people stationed there. Many of the military leaders of both the Federal and Confederacy were stationed here. Large park for walking on a 3 mile circular trail. Good safe area.
